Pageants can have a positive contribution on the contestants participating. Through her experience she was able to develop new friendships, get scholarship money and most importantly, develop greater self confidence.
This came though her entire experience and participating in her two favorite parts of the pageant, the talent and interview sections. These sections let Erica show the judges and those watching some of the things she has been able to accomplish and where she is headed in the future. The sense of achievement that came through exhibiting her accomplishments has motivated Erica to become an even better person as well as serve those around her.
