Cheer On the Broncos to Victory in the Poinsettia Bowl at The Drink Waterfront Grill

The Boise State football team knew Sunday morning that they were likely headed to San Diego to play in the Poinsettia Bowl, according to the Idaho Press Tribune. The Broncos found out Sunday they were in fact headed to San Diego to play in the Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 23. Their opponent will be the Northern Illinois Huskies, who are 8-5 and lost in the MAC championship game on Friday night.

The matchup in San Diego will pit the top two Group of Five programs over this decade, as the Huskies (65 wins) and Broncos (63) rank first and second, respectively, in wins among all such teams since 2010. Boise State’s streak of consecutive bowl games is tied for the sixth-longest in the country, and includes a previous trip to the Poinsettia Bowl.

Thousands of Broncos fans will snap up tickets for the contest; but for BSU students, fans and alumni who can't make the trip and don't feel like watching at home, Whammy's is the place to take in the action on big screen TVs, along with cold drinks and hot food.
