Kellen Moore's Big Test

Today's start on Dallas could make or break his image as a solid NFL quarterback.

Many have raised concerns that "the NFL is not college" and have cited the weaknesses in Boise State's schedule. It was against that list of teams that Moore went 50 - 3 and became college football's all-time winningest quarterback. But Moore also has throngs of supporters, especially in Boise:

One supporter on the CBS website wrote:

Moore's detractors either: 1. Don't know how tall Drew Brees and Russ Wilson are. 2. Haven't seen Moore play, or read his stats. 3. Haven't played against him. He did play entire preseason games for Detroit and, in his typical form, eviserated the Patroits' defense in one lopsided victory. One Detroit sportswriter called him, "The best QB the Lyons have." Number 4: He loves and lives the game, for the game itself.

Take a look at highlights of Moore from his first regular season game.

It appears the Dallas Cowboys are going with Kellen Moore for Week 16.

It will be a challenging game for the former Boise State signal caller for reasons other than it being his first NFL start. "Moore will have to do without receiver Dez Bryant, who has been ruled out with foot and ankle injuries. Receiver Cole Beasley (knee) is questionable and tight end Jason Witten is playing with a chest/rib injury," according to Todd Archer of ESPN.

Uphill battle or not, it couldn't have happened on a more intriuging sqaud. Known simply as “America’s Team,” the Dallas Cowboys are one of football’s most storied franchises and always begin each season with a legitimate chance to add another Super Bowl title to
their existing five.
