Schoolhouse Rock Live! from the Music Theater of Idaho

I grew up watching schoolhouse rock and learned a lot of my nouns, adverbs pronouns and other parts of speech from it. I also learned about politics. Songs l;ke "Just a Bill" sting ring in my head. My daughters have the privilege of watching the episodes on YouTube. Thank God for technology.

Fond memories come to mind, of laying on my parents floor and singing along to these great music videos, over and over again.

Now these classics are here in the Boise area, live.

Schoolhouse Rock Live! Emmy Award Winning TV Show Hits the Stage Thu-Sat Jan 16-18 at 7:30 pm Matinee Sat Jan 18 at 1:30 pm

The Emmy Award-winning 1970's Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, and more through clever, tuneful songs is not only making a small-screen comeback, it’s lighting up stages everywhere -- from school multi-purpose rooms to university and regional theatres all around the country.

Schoolhouse Rock Live! follows Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such songs as “Just A Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly,” and “Conjunction Junction.”
