Bestelling Author Aspen Morrow Offers Nutritional Building Blocks That Help Stabilize BiPolar

Bipolar disorder, also known as bipolar affective disorder (and originally called manic-depressive illness), is a mental disorder characterized by periods of elevated mood and periods of depression.

The primary goal of Aspen Morrow's groundbreaking Med Free Bipolar: Thrive Naturally with the Med Free Method(TM) is to show that treating bipolar effectively through natural means is not only possible, but highly likely. The Med Free Method™ is designed as a fourth treatment option over being medicated, "unmedicated," or "self-medicated," written by a peer who has been through it and backed by scientifically-proven, field-tested methods.

"When diagnosed we are usually given 2 options: Medicate, or go UNmedicated, which then we choose ourselves: to SELFmedicate," writes Morrow.

The Med Free option, using the Med Free Method, is none of the above. It helps heal and treat naturally so that there are few lingering symptoms of the disorder. We who utilize the Med Free Method of treatment are THRIVING Naturally. Our primary goal with the Med Free Method™ is to nutrate deficiencies, increase digestive and enzyme functions, fix sleep, detox, fine-tune through diet and exercising, and then address any lingering symptoms with natural supplemental alternatives or complimentary/integrative medicine.

With BiPolar, the elevated mood is significant and is known as mania or hypomania depending on the severity or whether there is psychosis. During mania an individual feels or acts abnormally happy, energetic, or irritable. They often make poorly thought out decisions with little regard to the consequences. The need for sleep is usually reduced. During periods of depression there may be crying, poor eye contact with others, and a negative outlook on life. The risk of suicide among those with the disorder is high at greater than 6% over 20 years, while self harm occurs in 30–40%. Other mental health issues such as anxiety disorder and drug misuse are commonly associated. The cause is not clearly understood, but both genetic and environmental factors play a role.
