My blog about Wayne Hoffman's Idaho Freedom Foundation Lawsuit Against Boise Schools has been posted on Facebook and drew thousands of views within a few hours.
Hoffman's IFF position is stated clearly in the blog entry I posted on Idaho Content Writing. And here is and opposing view from blogger Sisyphus (James Kent) which he posted on the Facebook thread.
James Kent Wayne's strident and extremist organization is suing the highest performing school district in the state over less than $40,000 on the myopic contention that the money needs to go straight to the kids. They've already spent more on that in attorneys. The lawsuit will be far more expensive than for any amount in contention while leaving a hole in the collective bargaining for the benefit of all the teachers and education overall. Thus his vindictive anti-union motive is revealed.. Let's remember, the Idaho Education Association sponsored the referendum against the Luna Laws which succeeded in every county in the state. In 2013, the IFF got a third of its revenue from the Albertsons Foundation, the prime backer of the Luna Laws. Moreover, the IFF just a couple weeks ago railed against the massive amount of bond elections the districts in Idaho are obligated to bring in order to make up the revenue lost from a misguided legislature lobbied heavily by the IFF. The IFF is bad for education, bad for kids, and bad for Idaho.

After leaving the news business in 2005, Wayne became the special assistant to the director of the state Department of Agriculture. In 2006, he managed the communications efforts of several successful political campaigns and became the communications director for Congressman Bill Sali. Wayne lives in Nampa with his two children.
